  1. ”Stonehenge” / Henge”…A quoit sticking vertically in the clay usually in front of the hub in scoring position.

  2.  ”Full Metal Jacket”…Two or three quoits surrounding the hub creating a metal landing area usually causing subsequent throws to skid out of the pit.

  3.  ”Uncle Bill”…A quoit that hits the pit and travels in a circular pattern and comes to rest in a scoring position.

  4.  ”Pants”…This refers to a quoit that comes to rest along side a ringed quoit with it’s weight usually preventing the ringed quoit from being knocked off or topped.

  5.  ”Got Wood” / “Viagra”…A quoit that strikes the frame of the pit.

  6.  ”Fatal”…A Term referring to a player’s inability to take advantage of an open hub situation.

  7.  ”Metuchen”…This refers to a player who’s quoit is “Tuchin’” the hub.

  8.  ”Wide Open”….An open hub due to a player’s inability to take advantage of the situation

  9.  ”Preplop”…A quoit that lands hard and flat and embeds itself into the clay in such a manner as to require a pry bar to remove it from the pit.  ( See Mark Prekop)

  10.  ”Traitor”…A quoit that rolls out of the pit and strikes a partner at the other end.

  11.  ”Takeout”…A quoit that rolls out of the pit and strikes an opposing player at the other end.

  12.  "Defense”…A quoit that rolls out of the pit and strikes “De-Fence”.

  13.  ”Double” / “Dub”…Two ringers thrown by the same player on the same turn.

  14.  ”Money”…When a player manages to knock his previous quoit on to the hub for a ringer.

  15.  ”Charity”…When a player knocks an opponent’s quoit on to the hub for a ringer.

  16.  ”Suicide”…When a player knocks his own ringer off.

  17.  ”Fugget-about-It”…When a player removes an opponent’s ringer from the hub.

  18.  ”Top Dog”…When a player tops an opponent’s ringer.

  19.  ”Heaven”…When a player tops a double ringer. (Mark tops Bob A. Double Ringer 2002)

  20.  ”Steal”…When a player scores a point after his opponent has quoits in scoring position.
